Childs play...

Over the last two days, I've been working on the girl who'll go along with the letter blocks. I'm really pleased with the results after a lot of working and reworking. I've started to colour her in Photoshop as well. I'm just hoping that the two elements will look ok when put together. Also, I need to figure out what the hell I'm going to do in the background... Hmmmm.

Kicking up the fire...

Well, The Cooper Temple Clause were crackin' last night! We had a fantastic time! We managed to get right on the barrier with ease which lead to a lot of very interesting photos (It did however, also lead to us 'feeling' most of the gig, rather than hearing it - being right infront of a speaker stack can be a bizarre experience)! I forgot just how good they are - especially live. Their new material sounds great as well. I'm looking forward to hearing the new album in September. There was a nice mix of setlist as well, with a few golden oldies thrown in.

Also, iLiKETRAiNS were in support which was good. I've heard of them, but never really heard any of their stuff before.

Once round the block...

I've been working on the final artwork for the private commission today. Lindz decided to go with the 'Building Block' idea, so I've been drawing them out today. I was initially going to paint them, but I'm thinking that I might take the penil sketch and colour them digitally now, using some wood texture on the sides without the letters.

I'm really happy with how they've come out. I'm looking forward to getting them finished, along with the rest of the image.

In other news, I'm off to see The Cooper Temple Clause in Brighton in a couple of hours! I'm really looking forward to it! I've been listening to 'See This Through And Leave' again today - I'd forgotten how bloomin' great it is!
